Do you have ELL/ESL Students in your classrooms? This workshop is geared towards content-based educators teaching grades 5-12 who are looking for strategies to support ELL/ESL students in their classrooms. There will be 4 workshops in this series that each focus on a different component of targeted reading instruction based on Sheltered Instructional Observation Practices (SIOP) Strategies from the Center of Applied Linguistics (CAL).

1: Introduction & The Nature of Reading
2: Comprehension & Vocabulary Development
3: Beginning Reading & Reading Fluency
4: Content Area Reading, Study Skills & Putting it all together
